Designing your learning solutions
I partner with facilitators (internal or external) to design sessions they deliver.
From induction to leadership development programmes, team development to change initiatives, I specialise in the instructional design of engaging and interactive events.
I work with busy facilitators looking for support to shape their client’s learning and development solutions and I create robust materials that strengthen their delivery.
I also love to coach others in best practice instructional design principles, and facilitate workshops that support internal L&D teams with their design work.
There are typically three phases to event design:
1. Explore
My starting point is always to understand the purpose, outcomes and impact you wish to achieve. I’ll spend time getting to know your culture, context and people.
2. Design
From this I apply the 4MAT Instructional Design model to create an engaging and effective learning cycle for your event. This includes robust facilitator notes, supporting materials and slides (although no death by PowerPoint here!). Following this I typically run a facilitator briefing.
3. Review
Post event I support by checking in that we’ve achieved what we set out to do.
